Foundations of Application Security with Galah CyberEffective Date: 15 July 2025
These Terms and Conditions govern your enrolment and participation in the Foundations of Application Security course. By booking a seat, you agree to the following:
1. Enrolment and eligibility- Your enrolment is confirmed once full payment has been successfully processed.
- The course is designed for mid‑level software engineers, security engineers, and related technical professionals.
- Prerequisites: Participants must have practical experience in software development and an understanding of computer science concepts.
- Participants are required to bring their own laptop with the necessary tools installed (Docker or Python3, and network access).
- The course is delivered in person only. Remote participation is not available.
2. Course fees and student discounts - Standard fee: AUD $1,800 per person (excluding GST).
- Student fee: AUD $900 per person (excluding GST).
- To qualify for the student rate, you must provide proof of current student status and submit a short video testimonial after completing the course.
- All prices are in Australian dollars.
3. Payment methods - Payment is processed securely through Stripe at the time of booking.
- Payment must be made in full before your enrolment is confirmed.
- Fees are non‑transferable between participants or future courses.
4. Cancellations and refunds - If you cancel:
- A full refund is available if written cancellation is received at least 14 days prior to the course start date.
- No refunds will be issued for cancellations received within 14 days of the course start date.
- If Galah Cyber cancels:
- You may choose a full refund or transfer to another course date at no extra cost.
5. Intellectual property - All course materials (including slides, handouts, exercises, and resources) are owned by Galah Cyber.
- Materials are provided for your personal learning only and must not be copied, distributed or reproduced without written consent.
6. Conduct and participation - Participants are expected to act respectfully and professionally towards instructors and fellow attendees.
- Behaviour that disrupts the course or jeopardises safety may result in removal without refund.
- Participants are responsible for ensuring their laptop and environment meet technical requirements for practical exercises.
7. Limitation of liability - The course is provided for educational purposes and does not guarantee any particular outcomes, certifications or business results.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Galah Cyber is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from participation.
8. Privacy - Personal information collected during enrolment (such as name, email and company details) is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- By enrolling, you consent to the collection, use and storage of your information for the purpose of administering and delivering the course.
9. Changes to the course - Galah Cyber may make reasonable changes to course content, schedule, venue or instructors where necessary to maintain or improve quality.
- Where possible, you will be notified of significant changes in advance.
10. Governing law - These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
By enrolling in the Foundations of Application Security course, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
